The Quarter For Life Race is a charity race organized to raise funds and friends to support and sustain the Community Health Initiative which provides sustainable solutions to healthcare challenges facing refugees and vulnerable others in the community.

The Quarter For Life Box campaign allows you to collect real or virtual quarters (and other coins) as your involvement in the campaign to build the Wellness Center and provide Emergency Needs Assistance for community good. Your box is ready. Your coins are needed. Quarters can save lives.

Introduction
Whether directly arriving at Indianapolis International Airport or following patterns of internal migration and arriving from larger cities like New York City, African newcomers often themselves negotiating and adjusting to a society that is culturally, technologically, and linguistically foreign to them. Beyond stereotypes and generalizations that are created by the “all too common” headlines of civil war, health epidemics, and governmental corruption, each individual that arrives from the continent or who is raised within an African household has a unique story to tell…her or his own “headline” that is full of intriguing details that depicts the challenges, the successes, the failures, and the hope of living as an African within the United States. These unique experiences are all About Us; they are justification for the existence of African Center and they continue to shape the Center’s services and programs. Read

The African Community International Inc., otherwise dba African Center serves the needs of African-born residents within metropolitan Indianapolis and central Indiana providing diverse services, programs, and consulting that meet the needs of the most vulnerable segments of the African community. To all the African-born residents and their families within the metropolitan Indianapolis area, the African Center is a reliable and innovative resource for aid, support, and cultural expression. You are welcome to take advantage of our numerous services for the good of the whole. A new and irresistible flagship id the African Health Initiative that provides free health services to the community. This will go a long way in these days of economic uncertainty. You are encouraged to take a tour of this site in order to fully grasp the inherent benefits that African Center provides. Welcome here one more time.

egistered as African Community International, Inc., otherwise (dba) The African Center traces its roots to 1995 when a group of African-born professionals began to address the needs of African-born residents within metropolitan Indianapolis and central Indiana.
