There are many things in life that we all hunger for, and the one thing I wish to satisfy my hunger is connecting with the mother land with a buisness frame of mind. We as american brothers of you all in Africa are finally seeing you there as our destiny. I hope to visit the home land soon with many brothers behind me to help up lift the mother land. We know that you can do it by yourselves but I fill that I must help in the most just way. I will see you soon. Peace!
Hey! Jay, great talk and let’s put some actions to that. I share your aspirations; and that’s what the African Center does best, rallying stakeholders’ interests on African issues and helping to see folks live their dreams instead of remaining dreamers journeying through life “ohne” reaching their african goals.
The African Festival is just round the corner, AUGUST 14 - 15 2009 in Indianapolis as usual. It provides all the impectus you need to get a whole lot started, so pass the word around getting as many brothers and sisters be a part of it all; and you’d have started your journey to and giving to motherland.
Please do not consider this spam. This is for a important cause. I am posting this on as many sites as I can. Please tell your friends to come too! I will be putting up a petition soon.
Not subscriptions, not ANY form of paid accounts, twitter this is WRONG and you will drive away a lot of users. Join this group to protest against Twitter’s proposals of paid accounts. We urge Twitter to advertise on their site rather than charge users to use it.
Twitter’s servers are already cracking under the strain of the traffic they get. Who would want to pay for something that is slow & goes down all the time. What will they give us, a ‘premium failwhale’?
Recent news is that b/c of a spammer, twitter is coming out this summer with premium accounts that will cost money. One of the best things about twitter, is that it’s free to tweet! I for one will not pay, join in my group if you won’t either!
The African Center has done great things in the community and i am very proud of my past association. Much success in the future, and I am very excited about the coming festival! Big ups brother Shola!
All people of African descent should be proud to find a platform such as the African Festival in Indy for social, business and cultural connection. I live in Long Island, NY and I plan to be at the festival with bunch of friends from NY and Newark NJ. We need info about hotels closer to event venue. Any idea?

Patty!!! It’s been quite an age. I’m glad you will be at this year’s event. Make sure you bring your twin sister and your company of friends.
To Denise. Indy is where it’s happening in August. For hotel information call Matthew Lorch at the African Center. The number is 317 927 9777.
